Job: Create a cover design for a chapbook that captures the film noir theme of the book. Working with the Editor-in-Chief at Dead Fern Press alongside the author to create a distinctive cover for this gritty poetry collection. In addition to the book, giveaways such as lighter wraps and bookmarks are needed in an effort to promote the sale of the book.

Solution: Inspired by the noir crime genre seen throughout the book, this black and white design features a ferris wheel reminiscent of the one once located at the end of River Street in the author’s hometown. The designs were based on poems from the collection and take inspiration from old classic detective films and novels.
